Jazz Festival in amphitheater Casa Marina
Friday November 7 the jazz festival continued with performances of renowned jazz musicians in the amphitheater of the Casa Marina Resort in Sosúa. The day before the festival took off in Puerto Plata on the Town Hall Square (Plaza la Independencia). Friday night it was Sosúa's turn. The amphitheater was filled to the last seat with enthusiastic music lovers. The visitors came from all over the country and there was not even enough parking space for all the visitors. Of course the upper class from Sosúa was not lacking. Among them the aldermen and the mayor Ilana Neumann.

Lorenzo Sancassani the director of tourism for the north coast was also present.
After some long speeches the festival started at 9 PM.
The performances of the three jazz orchestras was more than sublime.
Benny Martinez (DR), was the first to perform, followed by Ignacio Berroa's quartet (USA) with special guest: Giovanni Hidalgo (PR) and then the Berklee Global Jazz Institute (USA) with special guest Joe Lovano (USA).
The festival continued on Saturday and Sunday on the beach of Cabarete.
