Saturday November 15 the band 'Aly Tupac' did a gig in Tilo's restaurant Orchidee.
The musicians hail from Ecuador and are of Indian descent.
In 1983 the leader of the band decided to change his Spanish name to an Indian name.
He believes his forefathers were Incas and is he very proud of it.
Now he is called Aly Tupac which means 'Hero of the Inca'.
His band Aly Tupac (heroes of the Incas) play all kinds of music styles like bachata, merengue, ballads and salsa.
Besides the piano, guitar, gourd and Guira the pan flute is very important with this band.

The pan flute is after all a typical Indian musical instrument.
So the guests could enjoy the spectacular appearance of this unique band.
The restaurant was already packed with guests early in the evening so some music enthusiasts were a bit disappointed that there were not enough seating space for so many.
By ten o'clock the mood was absolutely great, and there was also plenty of dancing.
Especially the ladies took the lead.
Tilo can look back on a very successful evening.
