Thursday evening Carnival started with 'Schmutziger Donnerstag' at restaurant Parada Típica El Choco by the traditional cutting off neckties.

The restaurant was transformed into a haunted house with wobbly walkway and some big spiders that every once in a while descended from the ceiling to startle the visitors.
Disco smoke and fearful noises made the scene complete.
Friday night there was a masked ball.
Many of the visitors wore really beautiful costumes.
Many witches, vampires and death masks showed up at the party.
The entire staff was also exquisitely dressed as a witch or vampire.
The troubadour Pain'e provided the music this evening.
Every hour there was a spectacular show at which one of the waitresses was beheaded on the scaffold.
Fortunately it was just a show, because every time after the show the smiling waitress showed that she hadn't lost her head.
Later in the evening a very expert jury awarded the prize to the most special costumed visitor.
It was no less than a 5000 pesos prize!
Today and tomorrow, we keep celebrating Carnival at Parada Típica el Choco in Sosúa.
