Tomás Callender, president of the Association of hotels and restaurants in Sosúa and Cabarete (ASHORESOCA), announced that there will be a Carnival parade on Saturday, March 14th through the streets of Cabarete.

At this parade, carnival groups from different provinces have agreed to participate.
From Puerto Plata the beautiful float and dance group (Los Taimáscaros) will be present.
The carnival association from La Unión (neighborhood of Sosúa) is now working overtime producing masks and costumes so the group can also be present.
Tomás Callender said the event is supported by the Ministry of Tourism.
Different carnival groups visit the bars and restaurants of Cabarete in the evening and surprise them with a performance.
