Mayor Ilana Neumann has announced a meeting for this afternoon 3 pm to speak with stakeholders on the Zika virus issue.

At the meeting, representatives of churches, neighborhood associations, sports clubs, social organizations and entrepreneurs have been invited.
Although in Sosúa and surroundings there has yet not been any case of a Zika virus infection, the mayor wants to discuss which precautionary measures have to be taken to prevent an infection of the virus.
The meeting, which is co-organized by the Ministry of Health (Ministerio de Salud Pública) takes place in the amphitheater of the Casa Marina Resort in El Batey, Sosúa.
