Three cannons for the Bay of Sosúa
The action 'save the coral reef in the bay of Sosúa' will now continue in an original way. Bill Passmore of Dive Center Merlin received three antique cannons from a resident of Sosúa. The man had two large and one small cannon lying in his garden. The owner of these guns was so impressed about the diving schools efforts to save the coral reef in the bay, he offered the three guns.

With a tow truck the guns were driven to the bay where they were sunk in the water.
From there they were taken to their final destination.
The guns serve as coral habitat and as a refuge for fish, crabs, lobsters and octopuses.
But it is also a beautiful dive and snorkel location for water sports enthusiasts.
