Friday June 24th we were told Tom from Norway, owner of the Scandinavian Bar on the beach of Sosúa passed away.
We knew that Tom was suffering from cancer, the lingering and horrible disease.

Tom was a popular business owner on the beach of Sosúa.
He was very popular among Scandinavians but also among guests of other nationalities.
In March 2007 his bar/ restaurant burned down to the ground.
But then it proved how popular Tom was among his guests.
From everywhere Tom received donations and loans to be able to build the bar back up, thanks to the many friends of the sympathetic owner.
The bar was rebuilt and now even better and more comfortable than before.
Not only a good friend of ours passed away, but the Scandinavian Bar will never be as in Tom's time.
We will miss him.
