As part of the 20th Dominican jazz festival, in Sosúa and specifically the main street Pedro Clisante, Jazz musicians will do a gig on Friday evenings in October and November.
These evenings take place on 14, 21 and October 28 and Friday, November 3rd.
In addition, there will also be music workshops, lectures, exhibitions and musical sessions for youth and adults.
A traveling art exhibition, which visited Santo Domingo, Santiago and Puerto Plata will also visit Sosúa.
The exhibition will be on display at Casa de Arte Sosúa, showing the entire collection of t-shirts, iconic photos, the complete collection of all posters and a video documentary of the twentieth anniversary of the jazz festival.
Artist Adolfo Faringthon (also director of Casa de Arte in Sosúa) is engaged to accompany this project.
Oktober Jazz month
The organizing committee, of 'The Dominican Republic Jazz Festival' led by María Elena Gratereaux, wants to support the new orientation of Sosúa.
Sosúa wants to raise itself as cultural center of the north coast.
