Sunday morning, October 16, the 10 km run started through the streets of Sosúa.
Opposite the cultural center of Sosúa (Casa de Arte) a stage with triumphal arch had been set up, which served as start and finish location.
In the nearby park (Parque de Flores) there were several boots where the sponsoring companies offered drinks and food.
Just after seven the spectacle started with the national anthem.
Then in was the chairman of the organizing foundation ADSS' turn to give a speech.
By half past eight the first group of runners started off.

Hundreds of participants of all ages had signed up for this course.
The youngest was 5 years old, the oldest 78!
The youngest obviously did a shorter track of about 1 kilometer.
Also this year, some in wheelchairs participated.
After about three hours, everyone was back at the finish and the prizes and medals were awarded.
The winners received 15,000, 10,000 and 5,000 pesos.
All others who made it to the finish of the 10 kilometer course were delighted with a beautiful medal.
