Under the supervision of Héctor Vásquez, President of the Civil Guard, the day before Christmas 250 food parcels have been handed out to poor families in Sosúa.
Thanks to the Strauss Foundation and Don Freddy Milz of Supermercado Playero is was possible to make these donations.
The Strauss Foundation, chaired by Herman Strauss, former director of Productos Sosúa, supports the Sosúa community in many areas.
Héctor Vásquez selected the families that were eligible for a food package and gave them a ticket.
With this ticket, the families could thus receive a package consisting of rice, oil, coffee, sugar, pasta, sauce, beans, corn flour, chicken etc.
Christmas hampers for poor families
The mothers of these families expressed their gratitude for getting these food packages.
This allowed them, they said, to look forward to a merry Christmas.
