Students visit exhibitions Casa de Arte
It seems as if it is part of the curriculum of the schools in Sosúa and Cabarete: a visit to an exhibition at Casa de Arte Sosúa. Almost every day yet another group of students visits the Casa de Arte. The secretary Yuni Mari Rosario Hernández of the cultural center receives the groups and then gives a fascinating explanation of the exhibited works. At present there is an exhibition about the history of the Dominican Republic Jazz Festival. Yuni talks about the history and structure of the jazz festival and she gives sound illustrations using her tablet.

We talked with some students of a school in Cabarete after the visit. They had been picked up by bus at school and were very impressed by the exhibition. They agreed that miss Yuni Mari Rosario Hernández did an excellent job explaining everything with some music examples which gave them good impression of the performances of the musicians during the Jazz Festival. Quite interesting, it was an educational trip, but most of them preferred to listen to Reggaeton.
