For months the part of the sidewalk along the Rumba Bar in the main street Pedro Clisante looked desolate.
This was further enhanced by the half-demolished D' Latin Bar.
This was no advertisement for tourism in Sosúa, these ruins.
But since a week the pavement is ready.
It is paved with two shades of bricks.
They also planted palm trees in lawns.
It all looks neat.
The new drainage system looks professional.
A few nights ago it rained again very hard.
But the drainage system functioned perfectly, the water vanished into the system immediately.
So the problem of flooding in this part of the neighborhood therefore seems to be resolved.
Since last Thursday the Rumba Bar re-opened, now it is a restaurant.
Calle Pedro Clisante
Another improvement for the street.
Let's hope they start to rebuild the half-demolished D' Latin bar, then we have a neat and tidy street again.
