The Secretary General Manuel Gilbert of the 'La Asociación Dominicana de Prensa Turística' (ADOMPRETUR) wants to start a promotion campaign to encouraging tourism in the Puerto Plata province.
To promote Puerto Plata, Sosúa, Montellano, Imbert, Altamira, Guana Nico, El Mamey, Villa Isabela and Luperon.

In the coming months a delegation of ADOMPRETUR will visit the involving cities.
The local press and television stations will have the opportunity to promote the tourism attractiveness of their city through a magazine or TV production.
The productions will be judged by a professional jury.
There are prizes of 15,000, 10,000 and 5,000 pesos available for the most promotional productions.
The winner will also receive a contribution of 5,000 pesos per month for a monthly publication of a magazine or TV production.
The best contributions will be compiled and will be published once a year in print.
These will also be made available for tourists in hotels and libraries.
