On July 1, every Canadian in Canada or abroad celebrates 'Canada Day'.
Canada Day Street Fair
Canada celebrates its 150th anniversary this year.
Sosúa also houses a large number of Canada residents and regular visitors who obviously want to celebrate the Canada Day appropriately.
Saturday July 1 there is a Canada Day Street Fair in the main street Pedro Clisante.
It starts at 10 AM and ends at 8 PM and the Pedro Clisante will be closed to traffic from Calle Duarte to Café Cubano for this event.
At 10 o'clock it starts with a pancake breakfast at the Jolly Roger with real Canadian maple syrup.
There will be activities and games for children with wonderful prizes.
Including a tug of war and a Pop a balloon contest.
There is a Tombola and 50/50 draw too.
The whole family can enjoy this day.
In the evening live music will be performed and the street will be filled with terraces to enjoy a drink and the music.
The event is organized by Jolly Rogers bar / restaurant with the cooperation of several businesses in the street.
The proceeds from the event will go to DCDR (Dogs and Cats of the Dominican Republic).
