From Monday 3rd July the traffic police (AMET) will monitor stricter on traffic laws.
Do not drive through a red light, do not stop at a crosswalk (prohibited) and don’t make a phone call with your cell phone.
Slower traffic must stay in the right lane, after passing another vehicle it has to return immediately back to the right lane.
In every vehicle a first aid kit, warning triangle and fire extinguisher should be present.
An offense will be fined 5,000 pesos.
Until Friday, July 7th offenders get away with a warning.
Then the traffic police will hand out fines for violations.

When not in possession of the certificate of ownership or driver's license your vehicle will be confiscated.
