For example, in Calle Ayuntamiento, the street where the town hall is located, in the evening just one lamppost shines its light in the street.
From at least seven other lampposts the lights are broken.
And also in the side streets of Pedro Clisante the lights are out.
Hurricanes Maria and Irma have of course also caused a lot of damage.
But for the tourists the darkness gives an unsafe feeling.
High season is coming (from November to March).
Everybody wants the tourists to feel welcome and safe.
There is an urgent appeal on the mayor to repair the street lightning in short-term.
