Wednesday, February 21 Mayor Ilana Neumann commissioned to start the repairs of the potholes in the passageway between Puerto Plata - Sosúa - Cabarete.
Because of the many downpours of the last few months many potholes, and some of them very deep, arose in the road.
First the road near the traffic light of Charamicos was tackled.
The next few days followed the road in Sosúa Abajo and at the traffic light at Supermercado Playero.
Although all residents of Sosúa say they are happy with the repairs, there is also much grumbling.
This works obstruct the traffic, in fact severely hamper traffic and cause miles long traffic jams.
Waiting half an hour in a traffic jam is no exception.

The complainants believe that the work should be carried out at night then the traffic will be much less affected.
