Unfortunately, on Friday evening the Sosúa Sharks lost in extra time 105-102 to Eduardos del Batey in their first match in the XXVIII TBS Puerto Plata (28 th Torneo Baloncesto Superior de Puerto Plata).
For the Sharks, Víctor Pichardo scored 19 points, reinforcement Jeff Alex scored 15 points and 11 rebounds, Kelvin Peña 14, 5 rebounds and 9 assists, Jhosuan Jiménez 12 and 4 assists and Kenny Tavarez 12 and 5 rebounds.
Won against Cotorras de Gustavo
Lost to Eduardos del Batey
The second match took place on Sunday evening against Cotorras del Gustavo.
This match was won by the Sosúa Sharks. With 6 players in double figures in points, the Sosúa Sharks achieved their first victory with 97-93 over the Cotorras del Gustavo.
Randy Lagombra led the charge with 18 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists; Diosel Ulloa followed with a double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds; Kelvin Peña scored 15 points with 4 rebounds and 1 assist; Jhosuan Jiménez scored 14 points and distributed 8 assists; and American reinforcement Jeff Allen finished with 15 points and 6 rebounds; and Victor Pichardo with 11 scores.
The next match is on Wednesday the 27th against Correcaminos at 6:30 PM.
