Nick Hardt, from Sosúa, has done it after all, he became champion of the ATP Challenger Tour Emilio Sánchez Academy by Waterdrop Tournament in Barcelona.
Nick Hardt was declared champion by beating Spaniard Bernabé Zapata, seeded (2), in three sets 6/4, 3/6 and 6/2.
It should be noted that Hardt had entered the tournament as an alternate and to win the title he defeated such top talents as the Frenchman Quentin Halys (1) and his opponent in the final, the Spaniard Zapata (2).
The trophy presentation was attended by Marisa Sánchez Vicario; Emilio Sanchez Vicario; Oscar Mas, Sports Director of the FCAT (Catalan Tennis Federation) and Miguel Diaz, President of the RFET (Royal Spanish Tennis Federation).
