In the La Unión neighborhood of the municipality of Sosúa in the province of Puerto Plata, 21 women have been certified by the Professional Training Institute (INFOTEP).
Course for women
The women took part in a cooking course, making savory and sweet snacks.
The course took place in a modest space rented by Guadalupe Lendof.
Various courses for women are given in this space every two or three months.
The goal is to provide them with tools they can use to improve their lives.
By selling the products they have learned to make they can become independent.
This course was entirely taught by facilitator Estefanía Estrella.
