Despite the enormous amount of water that fell with all the associated consequences, there was still an official meeting in Sosúa.
Wilfredo Olivences & Rita Capellán
During a ceremony last Wednesday, the JME (Junta Municipal Electoral, Municipal Electoral Council) of Sosúa presented the winners' certificates to the officials elected in the last elections on February 18.
Among them is Wilfredo Olivences, 'Willy el Chamo', who will continue his term as mayor for the next four years.
Olivences will be joined by Rita Capellán, who will take on the position of vice mayor, both representing the PRSC-PRM alliance.
The presentation of the certificates took place in the presence of the members of the city's JCE, led by President Lorenza Maria Polanco, also known as 'Doña Lolin'.
The event took place in the halls of the Gregorio Luperón School, where the winners of the various positions chosen were recognized.
In addition to the mayor and vice mayor, certificates were also presented to the elected council members.
