Friday afternoon, August 5 it will finally happen: the park at the end of the 'street with no exit' (Calle sin salida) will officially be inaugurated.
The park is called: 'Parque Mirador Sosúa'.
The opening is scheduled for 5.30 PM and will be done by Ilana Neumann, the mayor of Sosúa attended by representatives of the Jewish community.
The beautiful park features a bar, restaurant and several seats.

From these seats you have a beautiful view over the bay.
In the center is in honor of the Jewish community a Star of David installed.
The inauguration of this memorial will be part of the solemn opening ceremony.
The park has in fact been built in honor of the Jewish community of Sosúa, the founders of the beach town.
The intention was that the park would be inaugurated in February.
But because there were problems with people who thought they were the owner of the land the construction of the park came to a stand still for several months.
It further appeared that the budget for the park was not sufficient, so there was therefore another delay.
Fortunately, the tourism minister in April, settled for the missing amount so now on August 5 this asset to Sosúa can officially be opened.
